At 800 and 777 Welch Road, we have multiple bins that are intended for specific types of waste. This is a reminder of what should and should not be put in each bin.
- THINGS TO PUT IN “Paper Recycling” Bin:
✔ All paper that tears
✔ Cardboard packaging
✔ Plastic bags and Bubble Wraps
✔ Plastic filmy outer wrap to packaging into the paper recycling bin - THINGS TO PUT IN “Plastics, Metals and Glass” Bin:
✔ All plastic containers
✔ Metal cans, foil and scraps
✔ Glass bottles and jars only
✔ Milk and juice cartons - THINGS TO PUT IN “Universal Waste Electronic Devices Recycling” Bucket:
- Any small electronics, including cell phones, CDs, DVDs, and small non-capital electronic waste
- THINGS TO PUT IN “Used Battery Disposal Container”:
- All standard batteries, Ni-Cd, Rechargeable batteries, Mercury batteries and Gel Cell batteries
- THINGS TO PUT IN Shred It Bins:
- All PHI. If in doubt, put it in Shred It.
- PHI should NEVER go into recycling!
- Clean, dry, non-crumpled paper
- Other PHI items such as CDs and DVDs
- All PHI. If in doubt, put it in Shred It.
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING should go in the GARBAGE CANS:
✔ Anything with food or liquid contact, such as pizza boxes and cardboard lunch containers.
✔ Napkins, facial tissues, toilet paper
✔ Styrofoam
✔ Corrugated cardboard
