Please join us to welcome Amir Emami, who started as a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate with Sarcoma this week!

Amir attended Capella University for his Master of Science in Human Services with a specialization in Health Care Administration.

Previously, Amir was a Clinical Research Associate while writing a research paper on EHE, Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma, and hopefully now that he is hired by Stanford University, he can publish it with Stanford affiliation.

Amir is looking forward to growing and building his future career in research with Stanford University and advance to higher positions. He is also looking forward to help his team to increase patient safety, quality control (as he has many years of experience in the field), and increase efficiency at work.

Amir is honored to be part of a great organization such as Stanford University, and with the resources at his disposal, he is encouraged and excited to hopefully one day give back what he has learned.

Please join us to welcome Kyle Punzalan, who started as a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate with GI this week!

Kyle obtained his Bachelors of Science in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology  at University of California, Santa Cruz and Doctor of Medicine at University of the East.

Previously, Kyle was a Clinical Extern/Medical Scribe at The Anther Pediatric and Adult Sleep Center in Fresno, CA.

Kyle is looking forward to being a part of the Stanford community, gaining valuable insight into how cancer clinical trials are conducted, and having the opportunity to give back to Stanford Medicine which has provided excellent care for his family throughout the years. 

Additionally, Kyle loves producing music, watching movies, traveling, basketball, and trying new places to eat!

Please join us to welcome Cristy Miles, who started as a Clinical Research Coordinator with NCTN this week!

Cristy attended DePaul University for her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Community Service Studies. She also attended the University of Southern California (Go trojans!) for her master’s in public health with an emphasis on Global Health Leadership. Her MBA comes from a small school called Urbana University.

Previously, Cristy was a Clinical Research Coordinator in Chicago, IL that specialized in diabetes research and utilized epidemiological concepts to generate new information about their patient population and how to best serve them.

Cristy is looking forward to getting to better know her colleagues as well as, gain new insights into the field of cancer research. Being in an environment that fosters innovation and prioritizes the patient experience makes her excited and thrilled to be a part of the team! Please join us to welcome Erin Rosales, who started as a Clinical Research Coordinator Associate with the Pediatric Group this week!

Erin recently graduated from UC San Diego with two Bachelor’s degrees in Human Biology and Global Health. With her double major, she hopes to reduce health disparities and improve access to health services for marginalized communities.

As an undergraduate, Erin served as a campus ambassador/tour guide for the Office for Undergraduate Admissions, resident advisor and volunteered as a student researcher at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, Section of Physiology.

Please join us to welcome Dan Heck, who started as a Clinical Research Coordinator with the Lyphoma Group this week!

Dan was born and raised in Colorado, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology from CU Boulder, and later received his Master of Science in Modern Human Anatomy from CU Anschutz Medical Campus.

Dan worked at the CU Anschutz CCTO for the past two years as a clinical research coordinator where he worked primarily with Kidney, Bladder, and Prostate clinical trials.

Dan is looking forward to meeting his new coworkers and building connections at Stanford. Dan is also excited to experience life outside Colorado and plans to take advantage of all the fun things to do in the bay area. The CCTO is happy to introduce Namuun Bat-Erdene, our new CRCA on the Hematology team! Namuun obtained her MD from Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and her MBA in Health Administration from Colorado Heights University, Denver, Colorado. Previously Namuun was working as an aCRC/Research Phlebotomist at SCCR Stanford University of Medicine.

While at Stanford Namuun is looking forward to growing more in a professional way and get experience with clinical trials. She is planning to work on oncology treatment and drugs to aim to develop new way or treatment to impact the community. Please send her a virtual hello and welcome her to the CCTO team!
