

Michelle Narayan
The CCTO welcomes Michelle Narayan, our new CRCA with NCTN. Michelle graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with an MS in Biomedical Sciences. Prior to joining the CCTO, she was a medical scribe in multiple specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, OB/GYN and Pediatrics. Michelle enjoys patient care and is looking forward to being part of the CCTO and learning more about clinical research. Michelle is a California native and in her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with her dog and experimenting with cooking and baking. Please help us welcome Michelle!

Caitlyn Minas
The CCTO welcomes Caitlyn Minas, our new CRCA with Hematology. Caitlyn graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Psychology with a Biological Emphasis. She is now an MS candidate in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to joining the CCTO, Caitlyn worked as a registered behavioral technician, physical therapy aide and a medical scribe in outpatient vascular surgery and wound care. Caitlyn is excited to join the CCTO and is looking forward to the ongoing mentorship with the Hematology team as well as, growing in her position. She was an assistant badminton coach earlier this year for her local high school and is hoping to play regularly again and explore more hiking trails in the South Bay. Austin Yeung
The CCTO welcomes Austin Yeung, our new CRCA with Lymphoma. Austin received his BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022 with a degree in Neurobiology. Prior to joining the CCTO, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant with the Kratz Lab and Deming Lab at the Carbone Cancer Center. Austin is excited to join his new coworkers and build connections at Stanford. He is also looking forward to exploring the Bay Area and would appreciate any recommendations on places to visit. Liza Bakunina
The CCTO welcomes Liza Bakunina, our new CRCA with NCTN. Liza graduated from the medical school of Kazan State Medical University in Tatarstan, followed by a residency in Family Medicine, and Master of Science in Palliative Care at the Oxford Brookes University. Liza used to work in Palliative and Hospice care. After completing a Certificate Program in Clinical Research Conduct and Management at Berkeley, she switched to the field of Clinical Research. Prior to joining the CCTO, Liza was a Clinical Trials Associate for the BMT team at Stanford. Liza is looking forward to working with NCTN and other CCTO teams. Some of Liza’s favorite hobbies include reading, hiking, sailing and travelling. Please help us welcome Liza!

Leeza Kopaeva
The CCTO welcomes Leeza Kopaeva, our new CRCA with Neuro Oncology. Leeza graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in May of this year with a BA in Neuroscience and Behavior. Prior to joining the CCTO, Leeza worked in Professor Elizabeth Bauer’s laboratory at Barnard, studying the neural correlates of anxiety and fear like behaviors in rodents. She also spent a summer at the Jackson Laboratory in her home state of Maine studying Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease Type 1A, a peripheral neuropathy, under Dr. Rob Burgess. Before starting her position at Stanford, Leeza traveled to Bali in June to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training (she’s looking to practice teaching if anyone is interested!). Leeza is excited about working directly with patients and seeing how wet-lab work is translated to real clinic experiences. She is looking forward to meeting more of the team and learning from everyone. Please help us welcome Leeza!
