The CCTO admin team is excited to announce another large-scale office clean up at the end of June! This clean-up will be focused on unused/expired/close to expiring materials such as:
- Glass & plastic tubing
- Sharps & needles
- Materials with biohazard symbols
On June 28th, large 64-gallon sharps bins and small white buckets will be placed just outside 800 Welch, near the parking lot. These bins will be available for staff to dispose of the materials listed and will be picked up on June 30th. Sorting is as follows:
- The sharps bins will hold ALL types of clean biohazard materials (glass AND plastic tubes, needles, materials with biohazard symbol, containers, etc.)
- The white buckets will hold ONLY PAXGENE branded tubes
A conference room will be reserved during that week for extra storage as teams sort through materials, until then please organize within your team’s space as best you can. Once the bins arrive, staff are welcome to place materials inside them – admin team will help as needed.
*If your team also has excess Styrofoam and cold packs, the admin team can collect those items that week as well.
