Who are we and what we do?
The CCTO Quality Standards on Education (QSE) Committee is a group of multidisciplinary CCTO colleagues who strive to bring quality trainings and education to you. We plan, design and construct the CCTO onboarding coursework that our new hires have to take. We also make continuous efforts to identify the need to update these training sessions and keep the education material up to date.
What are our goals?
Our aim is to continue improving the curriculum that is offered for onboarding new employees at the CCTO and provide a foundation for competency. In addition, we also want to focus on building refresher trainings for continued education. The ultimate goal of our committee`s work is to promote a culture of safety and compliance for the patients we serve.
Why consider joining us?
If you are someone with at least one year of research experience and are passionate about education and teaching, the QSE committee is just the right place for you. You will get to help design the trainings that will help your newly onboarded colleagues learn about why we do what we do and how we do it. In the process, you might get an opportunity to learn something new yourself and get a different perspective from your colleagues belonging to other disciplines of research such as Regulatory, Quality and Clinical Operations. This may also offer you leadership opportunities.
What will be the time commitment?
Committee members should anticipate committing to 2-3 hrs. per month with committee meetings held twice monthly.
