

The CCTO welcomes Sasha Madan, our new CRCA with Breast Oncology. Aloha! Sasha graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Master’s degree in public health. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, she was a previously worked for the University of Hawaii Cancer Center as a research coordinator. Sasha looks forward to meeting with the rest of the CCTO staff and learning about their specific trials. Please help us welcome Sasha!

The CCTO welcomes Panayota Rigas, our new CRC2 with Hematology. Yota graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Biological Sciences and Romance Languages and an MA in Endocrinology from UC Berkeley. Prior to joining the CCTO, Yota was a Clinical Research Coordinator in the OB/Gyn department at UCSF Mission Bay. She is looking forward to learning more about the causes and treatments for hematologic cancers in order to potentially help patients and their families affected by these diseases. Meanwhile, she is also excited about meeting and working with the hematology team at the CCTO. In her free time, Yota enjoys hiking, playing tennis and watching sports. Please help us welcome Yota!

The CCTO welcomes Awatif Belymam, our new CRCA with Radiation Oncology. Awatif graduated from the University Hassan II (Casablanca, Morocco) with a PhD in Particle Physics, a Licentiate of Engineering in Physics from KTH the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) and a Master of Business Administration from the University IFM Institute of Finance and Management (Geneva, Switzerland). Before joining CCTO, Awatif previously worked as a Research Physicist at the European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN and Queen Mary University of London. She worked on Research and Development, Quality Assurance, and commissioning of cutting-edge physics detectors for the Large Hadron Collider. Awatif also has knowledge in entrepreneurship and management. She is very excited to be part of the Stanford community. While with the CCTO, Awatif is looking forward to collaborating with others as a team and contributing to the coordination and advancements in clinical research and trials. Outside of work, Awatif enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family. Please help us welcome Awatif!

The CCTO welcomes Leslie Hwang, our new CRCA with Hematology. Leslie graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2020 with a B.S. in Neuroscience. Prior to joining the CCTO, Leslie was a case investigator with AM Trace. During her time at UCLA, she was a student lab manager at the Stein Eye Institute and an undergraduate researcher in the Gopen Lab at UCLA and the University of Vascular Associates, evaluating clinical outcomes in patients with Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence and Peripheral Arterial Disease, respectively. Leslie is looking forward to learning about cancer and clinical trials research. She is most excited to be working alongside her team to contribute to meaningful work in improving patient lives. During her free time, she enjoys folding origami and reading. Please help us welcome Leslie!

The CCTO welcomes Robert Jones, our new CRCA with Hematology. Rob graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Finance. Prior to joining the CCTO, Rob worked in sales for FloWater and in a previous life was an EMT with Santa Clara County where he first grew to love Stanford, especially during morning transports when he had time to grab breakfast in the cafeteria! He is looking forward to working with an amazing team and is very excited to be a part of the CCTO. Outside of work, Rob loves to ski, surf, golf, climb and swim for exercise (sometimes). Along with his wife, he has two beautiful daughters aged 16 and 14 who he loves spending time with, when they let him. Please help us welcome Rob!
