

The CCTO welcomes Kelly Tanner, our new CRCA with Neuro Oncology. Kelly graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2019 with a B.S.in Biological Science and a minor in Spanish. She immediately joined the clinical research field as a research assistant with the Palo Alto Veterans Institute for Research (PAVIR), located at the Palo Alto VA. Leaving this position in 2021 with the goal of expanding upon her clinical and professional experiences, Kelly joined the Neuro Oncology team at the CCTO. She is excited to gain a more in-depth understanding of the clinical research process in a fast-paced multidisciplinary setting while positively impacting the well-being of patients. Future goals include pursuing an MPH and, eventually, an MD. Please help us welcome Kelly!

The CCTO welcomes Angela Johnson, our new CRQM with Quality. Angela graduated from Franklin College. She is originally from Indiana and moved to Oregon after college. She began her clinical research career in 1999 working in the dermatology and immunology fields. Over the past 22 years Angela has had the privilege of filling various roles including coordinator, regulatory manager, contracts/budgets management and quality assurance. Prior to coming to Stanford, she was a QA Auditor for cancer clinical trials at the Providence Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon with a focus on investigator initiated clinical trials and serving as a general resource for the study team. Angela is excited and honored to be joining such an amazing group of people, and everyone has been truly welcoming! She is looking forward to learning from each person at the CCTO and contributing to the goal of providing cutting-edge quality research! When not working, Angela and her husband enjoy exploring the Oregon Willamette Valley wineries and visiting with family and friends. Her family includes an 8th grader, a recent High School grad, one canine named Cash and 2 felines (Jack and Tabby). The family loves to visit the Oregon coast and take trips to their family cabin at Mt. Hood. Please help us welcome Angela!

The CCTO welcomes Brandon Carlson-Clarke, our new CRCA with Neuro Surgery. Brandon graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Neurobiology and Behavior. Prior to joining the CCTO, Brandon was a research assistant in a neurocircuitry laboratory at Cornell. He is looking forward to networking with colleagues that have similar passions and contributing meaningful work to curing a variety of neurological disorders. Brandon is new to California and welcomes suggestions on great things to do. Please help us welcome Brandon!

The CCTO welcomes Elmira Ekinci, our new CRCA with EDD. Elmira received her PharmD from Azad University Pharmaceutical Sciences and her PhD from Tehran University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the CCTO Elmira was a Cancer Clinical Research Coordinator at Karmanos Cancer Institute. Elmira is looking forward to having a positive impact on cancer clinical research at Stanford. Please help us welcome Elmira!

The CCTO welcomes Madeline Bright, our new ARCA with Breast Madeline graduated from UC Dave in June 2021 with a B.S in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. Prior to joining the CCTO, Madeline worked as an upper-division biology tutor for UC Davis, as an unpaid undergraduate researcher in the David Lab (organic synthesis research lab at UC Davis), and as the Assistant Health Coordinator for Willow’s OB/GYN Clinic (UC Davis Health student-run clinic). Madeline is looking forward to working in a clinical research environment, meeting new people, and assisting in breast oncology research. Madeline germinates/grows avocado plants from seeds in her spare time. She has recently started propagating succulents and tries to add new plants to her collection any way she can. If anyone is interested in growing avocado plants feel free to reach out to her for help/advice. Please help us welcome Madeline!
