The CCTO welcomes Calvin Tower, our new CRCA with Head & Neck. Calvin studied at Cal Poly – SLO (California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo) and graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. This is his first long-term position out of college, but before this, he was helping at COVID-19 testing and vaccination centers. Calvin is looking forward to getting the first-hand experience managing all the little details in the progression of clinical research. Also, getting to know the amazing team of people here! He hopes we all get to meet each other as COVID continues to improve and looks forward to seeing the blog post and chatting with people there.

The CCTO welcomes Kumari Khushboo, our new CRCA with Neuro Oncology. Kumari completed an MD from Bangalore Medical College, India and was previously Doctor before joining the CCTO.
She’s looking forward to contributing, creating a positive impact, learn, and grow each day. She is excited to be a part of the team.

The CCTO welcomes Katherine Taylor, our new CRCA with Pediatrics. Katie graduated from the University of Michigan in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science. She majored in Neuroscience. She previously worked as a Research Assistant with the Stanford Chariot Program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Katie is looking forward to being a part of really exciting and important research, making new connections, and most importantly working with the kids! She hopes to be a doctor one day and she loves to hike all around the Bay Area!

The CCTO welcomes Julia Durski, our new CRCA with Radiology. Julia graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2020. She received a B.A. in Psychology. Her previous position was as a research assistant in a social psychology lab at UCSC. Concurrently, she was working as a psych intern/ teaching aide at Early Education Services, a child care service offered to students and faculty at UCSC. She’s looking forward to getting to know and learning from the CCTO community! This position is a very new experience for her and she’s excited for this opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally. Fun facts about Julia: She was born at Stanford, but has lived in many different places since then. She’s currently only fluent in English but is working on becoming fluent in Spanish and Polish as well. She loves animals, has two cats and hopes to get a dog eventually. And, lastly, she absolutely loves gardening! (:

The CCTO welcomes Jarae J. Martinez, our new Data Manager with Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Jarae graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Colorado at Denver and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before coming the to CCTO, she was a Counseling Assistant at a high school for at risk youth. She is excited to be learning everything that she can while working at Stanford! Jarae enjoys mindfulness, yoga, and eating good food.
