Fire Alarm Testing March 18, 2021

March 10, 2021 - Katy McCormack

The Operations and Maintenance Department is planning to perform fire alarm audible testing at the 800 Welch Building in support of ongoing building preventative maintenance.

Date:  March 18, 2021

Time: 6:30 am to 7:30 am

Impact: The fire alarm audible and visual devices will be activated several times during this time. The sound level or flashing strobe lights can be uncomfortable for some individuals. It is recommended that all persons avoid occupying the building, if possible, until after testing is completed.

Safety Impact: None

Any fire alarm activity outside of the timeframe indicated above should be treated as an actual fire event and normal evacuation plans should be followed.
