CCTO Staff Update

June 18, 2020 - SCI Communications

The Hematology team would like to welcome Jee-Min Lee, Lead CRC, who is joining us from the Developmental Therapeutics/Phase I Program. She brings a wealth of experience with initiating new trials and coordinating Phase I studies, and we are excited that she will be supporting the AML program. We have many new trials in the pipeline and are very glad to have her expertise. Congratulations to Jee-Min on her transfer!

The CCTO is excited to introduce Cindy Garcia as a CRCA, on the Breast Team.  She completed her studies from San Jose State University and previously worked as a clinical trials coordinator for Kaiser Permanente.  Cindy is looking forward in “Working with a collaborative, supportive team in Breast Oncology and learning new responsibilities such as consenting patients to clinical trials.”

She especially enjoys cooking for her family as a hobby!  When shelter in place is lifted, remember to pass by the 3rd floor Breast area, on 800 Welch Road, and say hi to Cindy!

The CCTO is excited to introduce Shamanth Kuramkote as a CRCA, on the Peds Team.  He is a recent graduate from Rice University in Houston, Texas.  This is not Shamanth’s first time at Stanford as he previously worked in the PEARL Lab at the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, as a 2019 Summer Intern.  Shamanth comments, “Working at Stanford has always been a dream of mine. I’m really excited to be joining a team and institution that is really pushing the boundaries of medicine and treatment and continually setting the standard of care and treatment. As for the CCTO / the Peds Team, I am really grateful to be contributing to incredibly impactful work that has a meaningful effect on the lives and futures of children with cancer, all while getting to learn more about cancer, grow as a clinical researcher and get to work with an extremely bright, compassionate, and motivated team.”

Shamanth takes advantage of various Bay Area Outdoor Activities including: hiking, skiing, going on walks and enjoying country side runs.  He will also indulge in listening to podcasts, reading the news and watching documentaries.  When shelter in place is lifted, remember to pass by the 3rd floor Peds area, on 800 Welch Road, and say hi to Shamanth!
