Hello CCTO Staff!
I hope everyone is well and taking care. While many of us are telecommuting, we might be feeling a little distant from our team and our patients. This is a great opportunity to find new and creative ways to keep in touch with one another. A great tool, if you haven’t heard of it already, is Jabber!
Jabber is a Stanford application that you can install on your computer so that you can make and receive calls to your work number instead of your personal phone. Essentially, you can download the application on your devices and make calls from anywhere whenever you are connected to the internet. It is a great tool to stay connected, so we don’t feel so far away from each other. Here is a short video on what Jabber is all about:
To get started with Jabber, it’s really simple. Follow the steps below to download:

All CCTO employees will have a phone number already assigned to their SUNet. Once the application is downloaded and activated you will be able to start using it. It’s as easy as that! If you run into any issues installing the application call UIT at 650-725-4357 and they will be able to guide you through or remote into your computer to give you a helping hand.
Stay connected and stay safe!
