Quality Standards on Education Committee Update

May 23, 2019 - SCI Communications

Part of the committee’s work over the last year has been to develop a new Onboarding Competency checklist for managers/leads to assess their new staff and to customize which classes they would like their staff to take based on their current skill level when they join the CCTO. We have worked with the managers and directors to develop core classes that are mandatory for all research staff to take as well as the addition of recommended classes and information new staff may not be able to easily find.

Where will this be located? The most current version will always be able to be found on the CCTO’s Orientation Page. Presently it will be located in the Days 4-5 section to be available for new staff or their managers to print or maintain electronically, whichever their preference.

Managers and/or leads should work with their new staff in determining which trainings they should take and how to get registered for each class.

Updates are planned to occur at least twice a year in March and September and/or as we become aware of any necessary significant changes in between. If you have any additions or suggestions to the list, please email the contacts below with the course information.
