Cancer 101 and RECIST Class Registrations Now Open

October 4, 2018 - SCI Communications

The CCTO will be hosting its next Cancer 101 Class this October. Additionally, the RECIST portion of the class has been split out from Cancer 101 and will also take place in October. Both classes are available in STARS, and we recommend signing up for both classes to get the full set of information listed below. The goal of the one-hour Cancer 101 Class and half-hour RECIST Class is to provide a high-level introduction to the following topics:

  • Define cancer(s)
  • How cancers develop
  • How cancers manifests/how a patient presents
  • Diagnosis methods
  • Staging & Grading
  • Treatment types
  • Research measurements of disease response

Cancer 101 will be held on Monday, October 29, 12-1pm in 800 Welch Road, conference room FC380. Please bring your lunch. We also have a Live Zoom Webinar session that you can attend on the same date and time if you cannot attend the class in person.

RECIST will be held Friday, November 2, 2-2:30pm in 800 Welch Road, conference room FC180. We also have a Live Zoom Webinar session that you can attend on the same date and time if you cannot attend the class in person.

To sign up for the in-person classes or the Live Zoom Webinars, search the STARS catalog for “CCTO-0100” or go to this STARS Enrollment Express Link.
