OnCore Reports

September 28, 2018 - SCI Communications

  • The CCTO enters cancer protocols in OnCore which are reportable to the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
  • The NCI’s criteria for reporting is cancer-related, hypothesis-driven, and consenting clinical research studies.
  • Cancer-related, Single Patient INDs and Expanded Access protocols do not meet NCI’s conditions, yet CCTO leadership requires registration of those cases in OnCore for data tracking.
  • Chart reviews, tissue banking studies and registries do not meet NCI’s criteria thus OnCore entry is not required.
  • To meet the Deans’ goal of entering non-cancer clinical trials into OnCore by the end of September of 2018, a guideline was created by Spectrum which is available at https://stanfordmedicine.app.box.com/s/lsspwzft79p3yho41jgippdyj8cl2cke
