Important Reminder About Two-Step Authentication

March 19, 2018 - SCI Communications

If you are not using a smart phone with the Duo mobile app for two step authentication to log on to Stanford web sites requiring such and have instead been relying on text messages and/or printed authentication lists, please be aware that these methods will be going away as of March 30th. Your options will be to use phone calls for authentication or to obtain a hardware token for the purposes of receiving codes. In order to receive a hardware token, you need to bring your Stanford ID card or government ID card to the University Card office at Tressider Student Union.

More information on the change-over can be found here: https://uit.stanford.edu/service/authentication/transition

More information on the hardware tokens can be found here: https://uit.stanford.edu/service/webauth/twostep/token
